Mutianyu Great Wall Tickets

Planning a trip to Mutianyu Great Wall? Choosing the right ticket depends on how you want to experience the Wall.

Here is a clear breakdown of the latest prices and options.

1. The Entry Essentials (Mandatory)

Before you even get to the Wall, every visitor must pay for the entrance and the internal shuttle.

  • Entrance Fee + Round-trip Shuttle Bus: 60 RMB
    • Note: The shuttle bus is mandatory because the main gate is about 3km away from the foot of the Wall.

2. Choosing Your Way Up & Down

This is where it gets tricky. There are two separate systems: The Cable Car (North side) and The Chairlift/Toboggan (South side).

Option A: The Fully Enclosed Cable Car (Station 14)

Best for: Seniors, families with small children, or those who want a smooth, enclosed ride to the highest accessible point.

  • Single Trip: 100 RMB
  • Round Trip: 140 RMB
  • Route: Takes you to Watchtower No. 14. This area offers the most stunning panoramic views.

Option B: The Open-Air Chairlift & Toboggan (Station 6)

Best for: Thrill-seekers and those who want to “slide” down the mountain.

  • Chairlift Up + Toboggan Down (Slide): 140 RMB
  • Chairlift Round Trip: 140 RMB
  • Single Trip (Up or Down): 100 RMB
  • Route: Takes you to Watchtower No. 6. From here, you can hike up towards the higher towers.
